Optical Distribution Frame (ODF)

Our Optical Distribution Frame (ODF) is designed for efficient fiber splicing, patching, and distribution in a compact, modular form factor. Available in rack-mount, cabinet-mount, or wall-mount configurations, it serves as the central hub for fiber optic cable management in data centers, telecom networks, and enterprise environments.

High-Density Design: Supports up to 144 fibers (SC/ST/FC) or 288 fibers (LC) in a compact footprint.
Integrated Splicing & Patching: Combines fusion splicing and patch panel functionality in a single unit.
Snap-On Adapters: Easy-to-install modular adapters for FC, SC, ST, and LC connectors.
Rack-Ready: Fully compatible with standard 19-inch racks for seamless integration.
Durable Construction: Made from cold-rolled steel with corrosion-resistant coating; passes 48-hour salt spray test with no visible rust.
Scalable & Reusable: Designed for easy capacity expansion and repeated reconfiguration without performance degradation.

Optical Distribution Frame (ODF) Description

Our ODFs comply with EIA (Electronic Industries Association) standards and are optimized for 19-inch racks. Port capacity scales with rack unit (RU) height, offering flexibility to match your network density needs.
Performance & Environmental Specifications:
Operating Temperature: -40°C to +60°C
Atmospheric Pressure: 70 kPa – 106 kPa
Relative Humidity: ≤95% at +40°C
Fiber Bend Radius: ≥40mm (ensures low signal loss and long-term reliability)
Insertion Loss: ≤0.01dB
Cable Length: ≥1.6m per port
Mechanical Strength:
Lateral compressive strength: ≥2000N/10cm
Impact resistance: ≥20 N·m
Grounding Protection: Integrated reliable grounding for safety and EMI protection.
Reusability: Hinged design allows repeated opening and closing without compromising seal or structure.

FAQs

Q: What is the difference between 1U, 2U, and 3U ODFs?
A: The main difference is height and fiber capacity. 1U supports up to 24 SC/ST/FC ports (48 LC), 2U supports up to 48 SC/ST/FC ports (96 LC), and 3U supports up to 72 SC/ST/FC ports (144 LC).
Q: Can I mix adapter types in one ODF?
A: Yes, our modular design allows hybrid adapter panels (e.g., SC and LC together) to accommodate varied equipment interfaces.
Q: Is the ODF suitable for outdoor use?
A: The standard model is designed for controlled indoor environments. For outdoor deployment, we offer IP-rated cabinet versions upon request.
